About High Voltage Youth Ministries

High Voltage Youth Ministries began in August of 2007 when a couple of friends decided it was time for a change in Youth Ministry. Under a Pastoral Mentor, they began a ministry that would lead from forums, to MySpace, to a website, and they hope it will go even further!
Soon after High Voltage came about, the staff was introduced to another ministry, Teens for Real Love. Negotiations were made and TRL came to work under High Voltage with its facilitator being its founder.

Why High Voltage?

Because we plan to achieve a new, more energetic type of youth ministry that teens and young adults actually want to get involved in! Our motto is "Revolutionizing Youth Ministry!" and our mission is "Reach, Nurture, Develop... REVOLUTIONIZE."
As a ministry, we place a strong emphasis on the revolution happening in the up and coming generation...why?
Because WE'RE part of that generation!
That's right! You won't find ANY old school adult heading this ministry! We're "By the youth, of the youth, for the youth!"
Of course, our staff does run under a Pastoral Mentor, so there is an adult involved in the background...no worries parents and leaders!


We exist to: Reach, Nurture, Develop...REVOLUTIONIZE

First: We exist to reach out to teenagers and show them the love of Christ.
Second: We exist to nurture new Christian teens to spiritual maturity.
Third: We exist to develop teens into effective bringers of the Gospel, so that they may win their peers to Christ and those peers may begin the process!
Finally: We exist to revolutionize the future of our generation!




-We believe in the Holy Trinity: One true God existing in three Persons: Father, Son, Spirit
-We believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and God the Son.
-We believe that Jesus Christ is the Living Word in John 1:1. He is God Incarnate, made flesh through His virgin birth.
-We believe Jesus Christ lived a sinless life and was voluntarily crucified as an atonement for all sins.
-We believe Jesus Christ rose from the dead in the same, but now glorified, body of his life and crucifixion.
-We believe Jesus Christ bodily ascended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of God as the only mediator between God and man.
-We believe Man was originally created in the image of God. Man sinned by disobeying God and alienated himself from his Creator.
-We believe Man's nature is corrupt and unable to please God. Thusly, every man is in need of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
-We believe Salvation is a gift of God and cannot be achieved or bought in anyway. The only way to gain Salvation is to believe in one's heart and to confess with one's mouth that Jesus is Lord.

High Voltage Youth Ministries is in no way affiliated with a denomination. HVYM remains a non-denominational ministry open to all teenagers and young adults.
